In today’s world, we have good multimedia (computer based) resources which have inbuilt assessment tasks in the concept presentation. Progressive teaching learning practices and CCE emphasize the use of varied and multiple resources forms of assessment in the class room. Multimedia is the technology of today’s students and we use it for learning activities. Here comes the relevance of Samsung smart class project in India. This project has been initiated in Navodaya Vidyalayas as the part of Samsung Electronics Company’s CSR initiative of going back to the community. This project will help in bridging the digital divide in the country and in improving the quality of education in school. The salient features of Samsung smart class in JNV Pathanamthitta are jotted below:

  • Classes are being conducted in Samsung Smart Class Room by various subject teachers as per weekly schedule.
  • Power bank up for teaching experience during power cuts.
  • Samsung printers to help teachers in distributing the study materials during the classes.
  • Samsung laptops to have seamless Wi-Fi connectivity to have better learning experience.
  • Samsung touch interactive LED (Large Format Display)(LFD) gives annotation feature on it and various tutorial features to enhance the way of teaching.
